[ThePlaylist] "Send The Rain" by William McDowell

Spotify has really been on it lately! They are really good in creating a radio/playlist based on my already existing playlists. The cool thing is, that I start off listening to my own list and then all of a sudden I hear an amazing new song and I'm like wait, did I add that!

William McDowell's "Send the Rain" couldn't have come in a more perfect time. My church home, All Nations ATL, is having a "Super Seed Sunday" campaign to move into a new building. I know, EVERY church has a building fund, right lol. Well we're a newly planted church, an extension of All Nations Worship Assembly in Chicago. Right now, we host worship services inside of North Springs High School so as you can imagine the need for our own facility is real. Our leadership has championed each of us to invest a "super seed" to meet our goal of $100K in ONE day! Ambitious, right? Could you imagine my face when the pastor asked us to invest $500! Geez! Now, I'm a faithful tither (thanks to technological advancements of automatic debit, lol). I typically do not give outside of tithing, but I'm practicing a new lifestyle of alignment. The concept of alignment is to operate in the capacity of your designed function and in sync with the designed order to function in. By definition, alignment is a position of agreement and alliance. My intent is to be consciously aligned with God's instructions and not in rebellion against His will. So, I figured if this is the leadership God wanted to me follow and invest $500 in the church, He would give me the money to do so!

So, I committed to it. I made a conscious effort to save for it and God made it happen. Not only was I able to meet the goal, God also allowed me to create a new revenue stream with The Christian Perspective's Lifestyle Collection coming soon and I've been receiving tips during my  drive time with Uber (I never receive tips!).  Now approaching Super Seed Sunday, I come across William McDowell's song "Send the Rain".

Rain only matters to those who have seed in the ground. If you don’t have seed in the ground, rain is a nuisance. But if you’ve been planting some things and been praying for some things, when the rain comes you can expect a harvest.
— "Send the Rain" by William McDowell

Y'all when I say this BLESSED me! And if you're in Atlanta, you know we just received some serious rain because of thunderstorm warnings.  Now it may be just a natural occurrence to you, but I received this as a figurative and literal manifestation that God has called rain to cover the seeds we have sown. So whatever you have sown (finances, time, love, service) in this season, be encouraged! God doesn't break his promises and whatever you've been praying in alignment with God's word will come to fruition. (Psalm 119:89 / Numbers 23:19).

 God has sent the rain!
